Expectations
Its all about expectations - managing expectations whether it be work related or on the personal front....
If one doesnt expect to get recognition, reward or just attention, sympathy or even some basic empathy and understanding then the disappointment if any is miniscule. Having said that expectations tend to be a funtion of effort put into something....
Vedanta preaches that the level of effort or karm should not be a function of the reward or recognition but the opportunity to do it in the first place is the reward or fruit....easier said than done i suppose...and probably the reason why we are the common man and not yogis preaching vedanta...

Expectation and Disappointment are two sides of the same coin. We are genetically wired to expect, hope, aspire. Someone rightly said - the greatest tragedy that can befall a man is all to have all his dreams coming true (ever met a satisfied, content millionaire?).
Toss the coin away - if you simply enjoy what you do, you will soon do what you enjoy.
Most vedic wisdom is actually easier done than said. Do three things without any expectations of the results or fruit in the next week, however small they may be, and see the wisdom come to life.
hmm...well said
will try the suggested approach and let you know how it goes...
